Targeting
SOCET GXP’s advanced targeting tool represents a milestone in targeting technology. In June 2005, BAE Systems was awarded an
extensive contract to provide a multi-service targeting solution for U.S. Department of Defense applications under the U.S.
Navy’s Common Geopositioning Services Project (CGSP). This robust, precision geolocation package includes a CGS Toolset, a
modular set of software geopositioning services capable of calculating accurate, three-dimensional geographic coordinates.
The CGS Toolset provides the critical infrastructure for escalating requirements in support of precision-guided munitions and anti-terrorism initiatives.
SOCET GXP has the ability to perform precision geopositioning from national, tactical and commercial imagery sources. In addition, SOCET GXP serves as the Integrated Viewer software for the CGS Toolset, thus providing fully integrated IA and targeting capabilities wrapped up in a single software package designed to produce fast and efficient intelligence products.
No longer is there a need to alternate between workstations and different user interfaces to perform individual tasks. For the first time, accurate targeting and image analysis can be done using the same software package on a single workstation. Together, these two capabilities give you the tools to create precise, finished products—quickly.
