BAE Systems Network Systems (NS) is a world leader in geospatial sciences and photogrammetric products. This page introduces you to some of our Special Products, which are available to address high-level requirements in producing geospatial information.
These Special Products are under development in the Geospatial Intelligence Technologies business area of BAE Systems. This unit is staffed by top engineers and scientists with extensive experience in photogrammetry, image processing, mathematics, numerical methods, computer science and related disciplines. It is a sister unit of Geospatial eXploitation Products and many of the technologies described in this part of our website will find their way into GXP’s off-the-shelf SOCET GXP and SOCET SET product lines. The Special Products are typically NOT available as straightforward off-the-shelf offerings, so we encourage you to make contact and discuss your requirements with our experts. Often we shall be able to provide you with a customized solution or with technologies that can be integrated with your solution to address complex requirements.

RSM: Replacement Sensor Model
RSM is a sensor model with a standardized set of image support data and equations that are applicable to virtually any imaging sensor.
RSM can replace all of your original sensor models with high fidelity and significantly reduce your cost of implementation and maintenance of software.
RSM was developed in conjunction with the NGA with inputs from academia and industry.
RSM is available as:

- Write-ups ranging from a light introduction to detailed descriptions of equations and image support data formats.
- API driven and CSM compliant software modules
- RSM Generator, for generating the RSM image support data to the NITF standard
- RSM Exploiter, for exploiting images using the RSM image support data

HART: High Accuracy Registration Technique
HART is a suite of software tools that completely automate image registration for multi-sensor and images, including those of disparate modality. HART is particularly well suited for:
- Automatically registering (triangulating) images to other images or reference imagery
- Automatically registering images that vary in geometric, modal, temporal, and seasonal characteristics
HART consists of batch software functions and API functions for end-to-end registration processing.
HART is well suited for integration into systems where fully autonomous registration of images is required with robust accuracy estimation.
VXN Mosaic: Real-time Video Mosaicking
VXN is a Windows-based software product that will automatically mosaic video or MPEG sequences into large overview mosaics. VXN is particularly well suited for:
- Creating a large field of view image from many small field of view video frames
- Real-time high resolution display of mosaicked video for screening, overview context and ease of exploitation
- Creation of a thumbnail (overview) of a large video sequence
- Direct feed from VCR, DVD, or video camera, or viewing from AVI or MPEG streams
